About WeeHelp

For some, the desire to make a difference in the world results in giving to a charity.  For Andrea Peyton, it resulted in creating one.

Weehelp is an Edmonton-based children’s charity that collects new and gently used children’s clothes, toys, books, strollers, furniture, etc. Each item is cleaned, ironed, tested, batteries changed, and given new life by Andrea and a small team of enthusiastic volunteers.

Every spring and fall, Weehelp puts on a Pop-Up Tot Shop where we sell the generous donations collected throughout the year. Proceeds from each sale go to children’s charities like the Stollery.

For Andrea, Weehelp is a labour of love. It’s a full time volunteer job that she dutifully performs on top of her full time job as Chief Financial Officer at a local marketing firm.

“Making a difference isn’t always easy,” says Andrea, “but it’s always worth it.”

If you have gently used children’s items that could use a new home, we will gladly accept them. You can email Andrea to talk about items to donate, or visit a drop-off location if you’re in Edmonton.

Times are tough, but so are wee.

While Weehelp is coming into its own as a charitable force for good, it’s still going through growing pains. Warehouse and insurance costs are a considerable challenge. To offset storage and utility costs, Weehelp requires monetary donations.

The future is uncertain for Weehelp. And right now, to rise up against increasing operating costs, we need your help. Please watch our video below, learn about our story and donate money or time to help us continue making a difference for kids and families.
